plans for the future?

alright, my plans for the future have already been kick started!

1. Joan will be coming over to my cell group soon! yay! now we can go for cg n service together, so we won't be in different service. we had a rough time in the past week, esp last night, but we also had a great time visiting the esplanade n merlion even though the view now isn't very nice with all those construction going on, but it doesn' matter to me anyway since i'm there to spend time with her, not look at scenery! the sacrifice of sleep is totally worth it, as long as i can make her happy. had some miscommunication with her cgl but i called charmaine n she was able to sort things out rather quickly for us, so thanks to charmaine everything's settled! i always wanted to be in the same cg as joan, i don't think that she will be a distraction to me, or we will be too lovey dovey or don't care about the rest of the cg even if we're together. thats quite ridiculous, cos some of my cg memebrs don't even know i'm attached to Joan even though she has come for several cg meetings already! haha..

2. My good friend vincent lee (just had lunch with him) who's in hep just proposed that in 3-4 years time, he wants to set up his own law firm! with him being litigator, shaokai being IP, and maybe kelvin n eric n me being the corporate side? hahaha.. then it'll be like the old days in law sch again man! of cos with greater responsibility and more work load means less time to relax, but then again, thats the fastest way to become a partner isn't it? n though it'll be hard in the initial start up, the cash will flow in once it kick starts n we'll all be equity partners n get rich (or fail n get into debts, hahaha!) together!

setting up a firm means we control the cash totally, how cool is that? of cos we're gonna need to hire at least a few secretaries, rent a place, buy some equipment, etc. but then again, though i'm not so rich, the rest of those guys certainly are. who knows , i might be able to get a higher salary than those who're my peers working in the big firms? hahaha...

oh well, perhaps tis nothing but castles in the air and dreams. but then again, every big corporation and firm started off with just 1 or 2 pple, and already we will begin with a handful of lawyers with many contacts (or so i hope!) to bring us business. will pray about it, see if thats where i should head in my career. actually i thought of staying with dlp until i become a partner, but of cos tat depends on my pay cheque. very simple, more pay, i stay.

3. boss approves my hong kong trip leave, and she's working from home whole of next week, means i get to go home early everyday next week! yay! not to say i wanna eat snake or what lah, but i really hate working late in the office cos my skin can't stand the stuffiness and stale air once the aircon is switched off after working hours. i'll rather bring my work home n read the materials from the comfort of my bed.

4. wedding at the top of pan pacific hotel! that seemed like a cool idea, cos ever since i was a little kid i always thought the pan pacific hotel looked cool. haha! now to go about finding out the costs n such.
